Jamie Castle, AIA
Partner, Architect With the firm since 2003 Licensed 2009 Partner 2011 [email protected] |
Jamie went to Cedar Falls High School but was a Navy brat who has lived all over the country, which cultivated her desire to be an Architect. She went to Iowa State University earning Bachelor in Architecture. While in school she did her summer internship in St. Louis with an emphasis on senior living which led her to focus her diploma project on senior living of tomorrow. Upon graduation, she began working at AHTS Architects in 2003, still specializing in senior living. In 2009 she became licensed and joined the firm as AHTS’s 5th partner in 2011.
Jamie is married to a Civil Engineer/Land Surveyor (which creates a lot of fun home design debates between form and function) and is kept very busy with their two elementary aged children. Besides Architecture, Jamie is involved with Keepsake Quilters, Orchard Hill Elementary POWWER and was appointed to Waterloo's Planning and Zoning Commission in 2017. She loves to sew, cook and garden in her “free” time!
