Dunkerton Community School
Align Architecture & Planning would like to congratulate Dunkerton Community School District as Phase IV of their planned renovations draws to a close this spring. The work included the demolition of a three story, 1921 building that had sustained considerable wind damage in 2008. A new two story building filled in the space vacated by the earlier structure, tying the rest of the existing complex together. This facility serves Pre-K through 12th grade.
Jim Stanton who was the district’s superintendent for the last 12 years recently retired. He commented that,
"As a team, Align Architecture & Planning and PRA have played important rolls in preparing the Dunkerton Community School District for the future. Starting with an initial assessment in 2009, these firms have worked closely together to oversee four phases of expansion and renovation. Completed in April 2020, the latest phase came in well under budget. The architectural team provided a sequence of projects that was tailored to our needs and our means."
