Parkview Manor in Reinbeck already had a wonderful nursing home but needed assisted living to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing home care. The Parkview Board wanted a 12-apartment assisted living facility that would not only serve their residents but the entire community.

Most interesting or unique element of the project:
The octagon living room with central fireplace is the most interesting element. The fireplace divides the living room into two spaces but maintains a nice open space full of light as it also allows for smaller groups to socialize. What is the Architect's favorite aspect about the project? I love how much natural light the entire building has as sunlight pours in through the windows of the octagon. The resident apartments are cozy and bright. The common areas are airy and full of light. |
