Brian grew up in Mason City, Iowa where he joined the Iowa Army National Guard at age 17 to pay for college. In between military obligations, he completed his Bachelors of Architecture degree at Iowa State University. He continued on to receive his Master of Architecture degree from Iowa State University, graduating in 2011. Following graduation, Brian went to work for LaForce Inc. out of Green Bay, WI. Being the largest door and door hardware distributor in the United States, his skills and expertise in architecture were put to good use there as he worked in the role of architectural specification analyst and product cost estimator. Between his background in the military and as an analyst, he developed a great appreciation for details, teamed with a love of design.
Joining Align in 2018, Brian earned his license within two years. He became a partner in January 2023. Brian currently lives in Waverly with his wife and two kids, where he enjoys wood working, furniture design and watching movies with his family. |
