Steve is a lifelong local resident, attending both public and parochial schools in Waterloo, IA. He studied Pre-Mechanical Engineering and then graduated from Iowa State University in 1991 with his Bachelor of Architecture. During college summers, he worked as an intern at a small eastern Iowa architecture firm, as well as with Flinn Saito Anderson Architects. He became a permanent member at our firm shortly after graduation in 1991, became licensed in 1994 and became a partner in 1996.
Steve and his wife, Kelly, have three active children at home and the family is frequently on the go to and from school and sport activities. He loves sports and is a passionate Iowa State basketball fan, engaging the rest of the staff in lively dialogue about “last night’s game.” Besides traveling with his family, he also enjoys downhill skiing and sailing. He was also the lead architect on the Toledo Public Library. |
