Ann Marie Rock was born and raised in Jesup, Iowa, just east of Waterloo. She attended Jesup Community School where she displayed especial interest in art, math, and industrial technology. She graduated with a 4.000 GPA from Hawkeye Community College from two programs: Commercial Art in 1997 and Architectural & Construction Technology in 2000. During her college years, she also worked at Jesup Cablevision, held a graphic design position at Powers Manufacturing, and waitressed at several different establishments.
Ann Marie joined the firm as a drafter in May 2000. She continued her secondary part-time job at Jesup Cablevision until 2010 and briefly enjoyed a third job designing newspaper ads at the Citizen's Herald in Jesup. Ann Marie supports animal welfare and veteran’s causes. In her spare time she loves to study history. Her main focus in life is her extensive genealogy research, which she began while still in college. She has compiled books about several branches of her family and continues to investigate further.
